The job of a working student
What you’ll get up to
Working students have the opportunity to support various departments. You can focus on different aspects in line with your studies and your strengths. In the depots, you can start out in Sales, in the Key Account Backoffice or as a project assistant, for example. Or work in our headquarters in Neuenstein and Eschborn in HR, Marketing, Strategic Development and many other departments.
Your path
- Requirement: Enrolled at a university or higher education institution
- Scope: max. 20 hours per week or less
- Locations: various sites across Germany, sometimes also working from home
Internship for students
What you’ll get up to
We offer all students with a thirst for knowledge the chance to complete a three to six-month paid internship. You’ll get an insight into our world of work: you can look forward to exciting tasks and a great team that can’t wait to meet you.
Your path
- Requirement: Enrolled at a university or higher education institution
- Duration: 3-6 months
- Locations: Neuenstein or Eschborn

I studied civil engineering at uni for two semesters. Since the programme lacked a practical component, I decided to drop out at the end of the second semester. In my search for an apprenticeship where I would finally be rewarded for my work but also keep in touch with reality, friends told me about GLS. After a successful interview I was hired. Thanks to a very good onboarding programme, my transition to professional life went smoothly and I feel very well taken care of.
